Our Staff

Jim Elmore has been serving Trinity Lutheran Church since 1984. In November of 1986, he was called and installed as Associate Pastor of Trinity. A pastoral transition took place in June of 2002 where Pastor Jim became Trinity's Senior Pastor. Jim has a passion for traveling and leading people, young and old, into places where they can be challenged in ministry and stretched in faith. Partnering with other ministries since 1990, he has led young people on mission trips to eight other states and five different countries. Jim has a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton, in Religious Studies and a Master of Divinity degree from Faith Evangelical Lutheran Seminary in Tacoma, Washington, where he now serves on the Board of Directors and is an adjunct professor.  Currently, he is completing his Doctor of Ministry degree from Concordia Lutheran Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. His project will be developing a manual for churches to use for leading short-term mission trips. Jim loves spending time with his family, cooking, and the outdoors, particulary the ocean and mountains. In September 2001, he successfully climbed Mt. Whitney on one, very-long day.
